Who Should Apply?
Leadership Lodi
applicants should be seeking to enhance
their leadership potential, increase
their knowledge of the community, and be
willing to commit their individual
talents for future years for the
betterment of the community of Lodi.
Graduates of the program include
individuals from a wide cross-section of
the Lodi community, including
representatives from both large and
small businesses.
Commitment
Participants attend
eight full-day class sessions held on
the second Tuesday of each month.
Additionally,
class members must participate in the
class project selected at a mandatory
two-day retreat, on March 29 and 30, and
attend three community meetings.
In
order to graduate from the program, no
more than two class days may be missed
and “made up”.
Partial
day attendance counts as an absence.
Tuition
Leadership Lodi is
an educational program sponsored by the
Lodi District Chamber of Commerce, a
nonprofit organization.
Tuition
for Leadership Lodi is $800 per student
– a $100 down-payment which must
accompany the application, and $700
which will be billed later.
The fees may be paid by the
participant, by the employer, or through
a sponsor and is due upon acceptance.
The
Lodi Chamber of Commerce accepts payment
via check, Visa, and MasterCard.
Down-payments of individuals who
are not selected will be refunded.
Fees
are a tax-deductible education expense.
Selection of Participants
The Leadership Lodi Steering
Committee is charged with selecting a
diverse group for each yearly class.
Membership or past involvement with the
Lodi District Chamber of Commerce does
not ensure acceptance in the program.
Application Deadline
The application
deadline for the upcoming year is the
last Friday of November.
Appointments
for personal interviews will be made
throughout December, with class
selection made at the end of the year.
