About the Manor
Thanks to Linda B for providing us with some fun facts about

- The manor was a large fruit
orchard constructed in 1929
- The redwood paneling was
hand-picked. (The original owners
had redwood forests and a lumbar
yard)
- There are 8 bedrooms and 6 baths
with 6 fireplaces, with only the
great room fire place being used
- In 1933, the manor was sold to
Betty and Duke Englehardt. They had
four children
- During World War II, they hosted
for amputees
- There was a trainset in the
"playroom attic" to help soldiers
keep their mind off of the war
- There are original tiles in all
the bathrooms.
